Birds and Berries

The Sun was shining So I thought I had better make the most of it and take a walk down the fields and by the river. There are now Plentiful fruits and berries for all you foragers out there including blackberries, hawthorn berries, rosehips, elderberries and sloes. Sloe gin anyone??

Spied a couple of these pretty Speckled Wood butterflies hovering around the bramble bushes. Love their autumnal colours. : )

Down by the campsite the birdies were ignoring the berry bounty and feeding on seed that some kind campers left out.

Clitheroe Castle

Sorry I have been a bit sparse with my nature spotting recently. I must admit Jake is taking most of his walks round the castle now which is closer to our home than the fields. He is getting on a bit .Nearly 91 in dog years! Still he can run all the way up the Keep faster than me...which says alot about my fitness. Here are some of our shots from our walks this week including some beautiful butterflies. : )
